چکیده

In this article we present a high-precision evaluation of the expansions in ǫ = (4−d)/2 of (up to) fourloop scalar vacuum master integrals, using the method of difference equations developed by S. Laporta. We cover the complete set of ‘QED-type’ master integrals, i.e. those with a single mass scale only (i.e. mi ∈ {0,m}) and an even number of massive lines at each vertex. Furthermore, we collect all that is known analytically about four-loop ‘QED-type’ masters, as well as about all single-mass-scale vacuum integrals at one-, twoand three-loop order.

High-precision evaluation of four-loop vacuum bubbles in three dimensions

In this letter we present a high-precision evaluation of the expansions in ǫ = (3−d)/2 of (up to) fourloop scalar vacuum master integrals, using the method of difference equations developed by Laporta. We cover the complete set of fully massive master integrals. PACS numbers: 11.10.Kk, 12.20.Ds, 12.38.Bx

3 Possibilities of a QED - Based Vacuum Energy

A QED-based bootstrap mechanism, appearing at sufficiently small space-time scales, is suggested as an explanation for the " dark " vacuum energy that may be able to accelerate the universe. Very-small-scale virtual vacuum currents are assumed to generate small-scale electromagnetic fields, corresponding to the appearance of an effective 4-potential A ext µ (x), which is itself equal to the vev...

Stability of the Electroweak Vacuum: Gauge Independence and Advanced Precision.

We perform a manifestly gauge-independent analysis of the vacuum stability in the standard model including two-loop matching, three-loop renormalization group evolution, and pure QCD corrections through four loops. All these ingredients are exact, except that light-fermion masses are neglected. We in turn apply the criterion of nullifying the Higgs self-coupling and its beta function in the mod...

Naive nonabelianization and resummation of fermion bubble chains

We propose to extend the Brodsky-Lepage-Mackenzie scale-fixing prescription by resumming exactly any number of one-loop vacuum polarization insertions into one-loop diagrams. In this way, one makes maximal use of the information contained in one-loop perturbative corrections combined with the one-loop running of the effective coupling. The scale ambiguity at leading order is converted into an i...

Near-navigation Grade Quad Mass Gyroscope with Q-factor Limited by Thermo-elastic Damping

This paper presents experimental results on the noise performance of an ultra high quality factor (Q-factor) micromachined silicon Quad Mass Gyroscope (QMG). The device was vacuum sealed at below 0.1mTorr in an LCC package with activated getters, demonstrating the Q-factor better than 1.7 million, along the drive and sense modes, at the 1.6 kHz center frequency. A bias stability of 0.09 deg/hr ...
